International cooperation in sustainable materials management

We provide information on Tokyo’s sustainable resource management policies to administrative bodies of overseas cities through various initiatives, including online seminars and the organization of study visits to relevant facilities within Tokyo.

As designated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Tokyo Environmental Public Service Corporation assumes the role of serving as the secretariat for international affairs about sustainable resource management. In addition to addressing sustainable resource management issues through the exchange of knowledge and expertise with overseas cities and through collaboration to reduce greenhouse gas emissions related to sustainable resource management, we will support the international expansion of Tokyo-based businesses possessing advanced technologies and solutions in the field of sustainable resource management to overseas markets.　

To address challenges common to major cities, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government conducts online seminars for administrative officials and other practitioners from overseas cities in the field of sustainable resource management related areas. It also participates as a speaker in external training programs.

To promote the 3Rs and improve waste management in urban areas, we are engaging in bilateral exchanges with overseas cities in the field of sustainable resource management through online seminars and in-person interactions.

We coordinate study visits for overseas administrative bodies to resource circulation-related facilities in Tokyo, such as the Tokyo Landfill Site and the Super Eco Town,etc.
